What the air does out here
Mile 7 is the same coastline as Mile 1, gone soft by the middle of the afternoon. Driftwood Landing is a dock, a bait shop, and one sheer orchid growing where nobody planted it. The boards are warm, the salt haze has settled in, and the air lands somewhere between flower and tide. By afternoon the coast stops showing off and just sits with you, which is the better version of most things.
Who rides with it
Second-cup drinkers. People who take the long way home on purpose. Anyone who has stayed at the beach until the wind changed its mind.
Pair it at the next stop
This is the answer to Beach Linen back at Mile 1: morning was washday, this is the coast with its shoes off. And when you want the same water with a drink in its hand, Coconut Lime waits ahead at Mile 16.
