What the air does out here
Mile 7 promised you the same water with a drink in its hand, and Miller's Pond is where the promise gets kept. The valley's swimming hole runs a snack shack that has decided it is a cabana, paper umbrellas and all, and the air over the water goes creamy coconut with a squeeze of lime, a beach cocktail a hundred miles from any beach.
Who rides with it
Cannonball judges scoring generously from their towels. Kids who will not get out until their lips turn blue. The lifeguard chair is a bar stool on cinder blocks, and nobody has drowned yet.
Pair it at the next stop
Sea Salt and Orchid holds the coast back at Mile 7, Driftwood Landing before the water learned to relax, and Pink Sands at Mile 31 pours the sunset version up the road. July is peak windshield season, so run the summer scents while they match the weather, and park the freshie in shade when the car sits. The cooler back at Mile 3 already covered why.
