How Our Aroma Beads Are Made

People are always surprised that a freshie starts as a bag of tiny, unscented plastic-like beads. They look like nothing. The magic is all in what we do next.

First we measure. Getting the ratio of fragrance oil to beads right is the whole game. Too little and the scent is weak, too much and the beads stay tacky and never set. We weigh every batch so the throw is strong and consistent, freshie to freshie.

Then the beads soak. We let them drink up the oil and cure so the fragrance works all the way through, not just on the surface. After that we press them into our designs by hand and bake them low and slow. The heat fuses the beads into one solid, textured shape that holds its scent for weeks.

Last comes the part we love most: tying on the jute, the wood beads, and a coordinating bow, and giving each one a final sniff before it ships. Small batch, made to order, every single time.
