Scent Story

What Does Saddle Leather Smell Like?

Ask ten people what leather smells like and you will get ten answers. Some picture a brand-new wallet. Some smell a worn baseball glove. Around here, saddle leather means something warmer and a little sweeter, the smell of a well-loved tack room on a cool morning.

Our Saddle Leather blend opens with smooth, supple leather, the kind that has been oiled and ridden in for years. Underneath it runs a thread of warm amber that softens the edges, and a whisper of sweet tobacco that keeps it cozy instead of sharp. It is grounded, masculine-leaning, and somehow still comforting.

It is a scent that does well almost anywhere, but folks reach for it most in trucks, on dad gifts, and in the colder months when you want the car to feel like a den. If you love it, you will also love Black Cherry Leather, which adds a juicy top note, and our coming-soon Saddle Leather candle for the whole room.

How to wear it: pair Saddle Leather with a cowhide or western design for a head-to-toe ranch feel, or let it stand alone on a simple shape so the fragrance does the talking.
